I've use a lot of dish wands over the years. This is one of the best. The button to dispense more soap actually works and delivers a visible amount of soap. The sponge stays soapy and it's easy to get more soap when needed. The right amount of soap at the right time is the biggest winning feature of this wand. But wait, there's more. The sealings on the wand are tight and there is no leaking like you get with some wands. This keeps the handle (and your hands) free from soap where you don't need it. The shape of the sponge head (square) is better than the rounded type. A squared off head allows you to scrub the bottoms of mugs, cups, and glasses, especially in the hard to scrub area where the vertical wall of the mug meets the bottom. The angle of the sponge head is a little different than other wands and seems to accommodate washing flat items like plates and frying pans. It's just a really ergonomic design! The scrubby material works well without scratching non-stick surfaces or ceramics. The handle is bigger around than other wands, making it a bit easier to grip. It's also a bit taller than other wands so you might have to adjust the space you normally store it in, however all the advantages are worth it.I'm not sure how much more eco friendly this wand is over the grocery store wands. There is plastic on and inside the wand handle. I think the sponges are at least partially non-plastic based (mounting piece on back is plastic). However, I feel good supporting Full Circle's mission to be plastic neutral. For every ounce of plastic used an ounce is collected from the environment and recycled. Hurray!
